26. Explore Rockefeller Center

There are several things you can do if you are interested in exploring Rockefeller center.  You can take the NBC Studio Tour, the Radio City Stage Door Tour, go to the top of the rock, or just do some shopping and dining.
NBC Studio Tour
The NBC Studio tour will give you a behind the scenes look at what goes on behind the scenes.  You will gain access to several NBC studios, including SNL and NBC Sports.  You will learn the history of NBC and even get to check out the control room.
Radio City Stage Door Tour
It is best to take part in this tour when there isn’t a performance in the Radio City Music Hall because your access will be limited.  During the tour you will be able to meet a Rockette and learn about the history of the Radio City Music Hall.
Top of the Rock Observation Deck
The Top of the Rock is possibly one of the best things you can do at the Rockefeller Center.  You are paying for the view, and what a view it is.  While this may not be recommended if you have a fear of heights, the view is breathtaking.  You should go at sunset to catch the transformation of the city.
If you are interested in doing all of these things, you should get a Rock Pass.  It costs $45, but it allows you access to all of the activities.
