Who’s in the mood for unbelievable pizza? I know I am. Although John’s Pizzeria has multiple locations throughout the city the place to go is their Times Square location. The atmosphere is astounding, they have a massive mural that will blow your mind.
It’s day three in the quest to find 365 things to do in NYC, and I thought pizza would be appropriate. So far we’ve talked about St. Patty’s day, Beer, so the natural progression would be pizza.
Price - Your basic pizza will run around $12.00 and add a buck for toppings. That’s not too shabby considering the atmosphere you are also paying for.
Atmosphere – Look at the mural. Stunning! You can sit directly underneath the magnificent mural or stare at it from the second level which you can get to by climbing an elegant staircase. When you enter it looks less like a pizzeria and more like what you imagined the dining area in the Titanic to look like.
History – John’s pizzeria was opened in 1997 in a highly competitive market. To be successful for 13 years says something about the quality of food and entertainment. They host a score of events from the Sopranos to the Jonas brothers. You can even plan your own event for a birthday or any other occasion.
So if you are in the mood for some incredible atmosphere to go with your slice of pie, check out John’s Pizzeria.
