Madame Tussauds wax museum is the perfect place to spend a rainy day. With the weather not looking much brighter in the next few days it seemed like the right time for this post. Oh, and it can’t hurt to have a few drinks before you go.
Here you can walk amongst celebrities like Johnny Depp and Miley Cyrus. If that is not to your liking, you can spend the day perusing the historical figures and the Hollywood stars of yesteryear.
If you are into the Twilight Saga, try not breath too heavily on Robert Patterson. You wouldn’t want him to melt.
Madame Tussauds is also home to a 3D theatre which can be fun for the kids (if they haven’t seen Avatar yet).
Madame Tussauds traces back to early 1800s London. Marie Tussaud crafted her art in France in the late 1700s and eventually joined a travelling show before settling down on Baker street in London. Since then, Madame Tussauds has been so popular that it has spread to other major cities like New York and Las Vegas and even Hong Kong.
